Want something different on your wedding day? These are Hitchbird’s recommendations for cool wedding locations in Asia - something different with a touch of class and culture.

1. Hua Hin Hills Vineyards, Thailand
Hua Hin Hills Vineyard was built on a former elephant corral, a sublime place where wild Asian elephants were domesticated. The train, comprising mostly of loamy-sand and state, is conducive to the cultivation of grapes providing the seaside resort town of Hua Hin with its first boutique vineyard.

Fancy a ride on an elephant in a vineyard in Thailand? This venue is great for photoshoots, and of course for wine lovers. Small parties can be catered for at the vineyard's only restaurant - The SALA - a Thai-inspired pavilion designed by former Norman Foster architect Sylvia Soh.
2. Blue Mansion, Penang, Malaysia
The Cheong Fatt Tze “Blue” Mansion has been perfectly poised for over a century on firm foundations of architectural, cultural and historic superlatives.

Think rickshaws, think colonial UNESCO award winning architecture. Great for photoshoots. This restored chinese courtyard house together with its 16 bedrooms can be booked out in its entirety for your private wedding.
3. Luxury Junk Michelangelo, Hong Kong
Hong Kong has one of the world’s most spectacular skylines - Hitchbird is based here and we certainly think it's iconic!
Hong Kong is also known for its maritime richness, the uniqueness of its 200+ islands and 1,100 kilometers of coastline.
So what about a wedding aboard Michelangelo, a meticulously restored eighty-foot classic motor yacht, crafted of beautiful materials: mahogany, teak, brass and copper. Your wedding will be magical, intimate, gracious, most of all, memorable.

The distinctive feature of this vessel is her extraordinary space. She measures 88 feet in length and over three decks offers 4,000 square feet of discreet luxury. She can accommodate up to 52 guests in absolute comfort with two spacious outdoor sun decks, a mahogany paneled living room, a dining room, a sumptuous master suite and four additional guest cabins, full kitchen, office and staff quarters.
4. Resorts World (SEA Aquarium), Singapore

Love marine life? Experience the wonders of our blue planet through the world’s largest window to the ocean at S.E.A. Aquarium at Resorts World in Singapore. Home to more than 100,000 marine animals, it has over 800 species in more than 60 million litres of water.

No other place brings you closer to more diverse collection of marine life than a wedding at the Open Ocean Gallery.
5. Uma by COMO, Bhutan
Bhutan, a Himalayan kingdom, is a landlocked country located between China and India. With its reputation for mystery and magic, stunning mountainous backdrops and traditional architectural structures, couples can be assured of an unforgettable wedding experience.

With the towering Himalayas as your backdrop, mark your celebration with a Bhutanese blessing while staying at one of two COMO hotels in the kingdom: Uma by COMO, Paro, within striking distance of the country’s great cultural landmarks, and Uma by COMO, Punakha, which overlooks a snake-like bend in the Mo Chu river.

So what is a Bhutanese blessing?
You will be taken to a Buddhist temple’s intimate shrine room dressed in the traditional attire of Bhutan – a gho for men, a kira for women – for the two-hour ceremony. Monks will chant, accompanied by drums, horns and cymbals, and your relationship will be blessed as a long, happy and prosperous union. The exchange of khadhar (white scarves) is an important Bhutanese act, representing devotion and love.

Something different indeed...
