Situated in leafy Kelburn Village, Paperswan Bride is Wellington's coolest little wedding dress boutique offering, by appointment, a personalised one to one service. Your appointment at Paperswan Bride will last 60 minutes and we aim for it to be as enjoyable and relaxed as possible with time for a glass of bubbles and a chat about your wedding plans and inspirations. You will have the salon entirely to yourself so we can give you our complete attention in this once in a lifetime experience. Within your appointment time you will be able to try between 6-8 gowns with time to review and retry your favourites at the end. We will be there to support and guide you while offering assistance getting in and out of the dresses plus styling advice. The carefully handpicked collection includes international and local labels such as Anna Campbell, Monique Lhuillier, Rue De Seine, Watters, Mikaella Bridal, SAJA & Johanna Hehir. Paperswan Bride also stocks the New Zealand bridesmaids label Victor plus a collection of accessories including veils and head pieces. The collection at Paperswan Bride ranges in price starting from $2500 – $5500, however the majority of our dresses range between $3000 – $4000.

Sally considers it an honour to create what she believes is the most important dress a woman will ever wear — her wedding dress — and commits her full energy to the creative process. She works closely with the bride-to-be to ensure that they have their perfect dress on their wedding day. Having planned her own wedding, for which she made her own wedding dress, Sally understands that this process can be a stressful time for some. That is why Sally's aim is to make things as easy as possible for the bride-to-be so they are free to enjoy the experience, which is how it should be. While designing wedding dresses seems very natural to Sally, her talent has been enhanced by a degree in Fashion Design from Massey University. She has a very strong design skill, and is especially good at drawing people's ideas out of their mind and illustrating their dress for them to see. For those who would like to work around a budget, she has reliable contacts and fabric sources, and can recommend fabrics that both look good and help keep the cost of a dress down.
