Hello!! My name is Racyne Sugai and I am the Founder, Owner, and International Hair and Makeup Artist of Sassarella. Artistry has always been a part of my life. I love all things creative…drawing, painting, crafting, etc. Growing up, I took art classes in the summer, attended craft classes with my mom, and spent hours sketching in my notebook. When I graduated from High School, with the encouragement of my Aunt, I started my own jewelry line that was sold in local stores in Hawaii. Fashion was also of interest to me. I was always obsessed with wedding gowns-the big ball gowns, the intricate beading and lace… and then there were the models, with their perfect bodies and the perfect hair and makeup… The entire look was like something out of a fairytale. I wanted to somehow be a part of that fairytale and now I am.

Hey there, I’m Erika Kalaikai-wife to my hubby Kimo, mommy of 4 beautiful children ages 18, 7, 4 and 1, and a bridal makeup & hair stylist. Most days you can find me dropping my children off to school and activities, working on my computer with a coffee in hand, a messy bun, and a baby on my hip, or on the road doing what I enjoy most, glamming you dolls up on your big day. People often refer to me as the funny, outgoing gal! I have worked on more than 350+ weddings and have worked on thousands of different faces, skin tones, and skin textures.
